Welcome to Bake Battle and Roll
Doncaster’s first board game cafe, Bake Battle and Roll opened its doors on March 13th 2019. Located close to the town centre on Wood Street.
We are not your typical café, a visit to us gives you the chance to play some of the 800+ different board games we have on our shelves with games to suit all ages, abilities and interests.
We serve fantastic locally roasted Coffee from House of Coffee Doncaster, a selection of sandwiches, Paninis, Burgers and brunch options as well as a fantastic selection of Hot and cold drinks including fruit smoothies and ice cream milkshakes, if you are feeling brave or particularly thirsty you can even take part in our “Timmy’s five shake challenge” and aim for immortalisation on the wall of fame, or just aim for a bucket (please)
From October we have an alcohol license meaning we stock a good selection of spirits, wines, Craft ales, Beers and ciders
How a visit to us works
You can book a table to visit us a few different ways

When you arrive we will show you to your table where you will find a food and drink menu.
We will take any food and drink orders at the table or at the counter and keep a tab until the end of your visit
Choose a game you would like to play. You can go to the shelves as a group but please give other groups some space if they are up there first, If you cant find a game you are looking for we are always able to tell you where it is.
Bring your game to the table (you can play as many games as you would like during your visit). If you need help learning how to play let us know and we can go through the set up and rules with you.
When you have finished playing we ask that you put the game back on the shelf you got it from. ( some games are labelled with a shelf number but these are not up to date as we keep adding new games and moving our shelves around). Choose a new game or let us know your ready to leave and we will come to your table to take payment or you can come over to the counter to pay.

What does it cost?
We charge a small table fee per person to help us with our day to day costs and to enable us to replace games and keep adding new games to our collection.
Adults ( 12+) £4
Under 12’s £3
Under 3’s Free
This guarantees you the table for 3 hours, We very rarely have to ask anyone to leave after that time but during busy times like school holidays this may happen.
During term time we have a special offer for Childminder’s – only pay the children’s table fee’s
